We are not Legalists when we keep the Law, because we do not look to the Law for life. Rather the Law shows us we have true life in our hearts. We keep the Law to be obedient to Christ and show Him how much we love Him for rescuing us from the damning influences of trying to keep the Law to gain eternal life. Obedience is a far cry from Legalism.
Our desire is that the Holy Spirit, who is the Divine Revealer and Interpreter of Christ and His truth, may impart to your hearts a sober, spiritual and sanctifying receptivity of His Word – abasing self, and exalting Christ! Our intention is to unfold and illustrate the Lord Jesus Christ in the relation in which He stands to His people – to unveil His glory, beauty, and fullness – to define the close bond of union that unites to Him all His people – and to bring you into a more personal realization of what Christ is to you, and of what you are to Christ.
1. Prepare fish as in steps 1 and 2 of "Basic Braised Soy Fish".
2. Mince or grind pork and mince scallion; then combine with cornstarch,
soy sauce, sherry and sugar. Extract ginger juice and blend in. Stuff
mixture into fish cavity.
3. In a large, deep pan, heat oil until nearly smoking. Add fish and brown
on both sides. Remove fish; drain oil from pan.
4. Crush garlic; mince ginger root; cut leek in 1/2-inch sections. Then add
to pan with water and remaining sugar and soy sauce; bring to a boil.
5. Return fish and simmer, covered, 20 minutes. Carefully turn fish over
and simmer, covered, 10 minutes more.
