God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)
Jesus said, “If you obey My commands, you will remain in My love, just as I have obeyed My Father’s commands and remain in His love. I have told you this so that My joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete” (Jn. 15:10-11). In this statement Jesus links obedience and joy in a cause and effect manner; that is, joy results from obedience. Only those who are obedient – who are pursuing holiness as a way of life – will know the joy that comes from God.
I know this, that the death of all that is sinful in me is my soul’s highest ambition, yes, and the death of all that is carnal and all that savors of the old Adam. Oh, that it would die. And where can it die but at the feet of Him who has the new life, and who by manifesting Himself in all His glory is to purge away our dross and sin?
Add water, flour, sugar, salt & yeast to the bread machine pan. Select
dough cycle. After machine beeps, divide dough into 6 equal pieces. Pat or
roll each piece into a 7 inch circle on a lightly floured surface.
Grease outsides of six 10 ounce custard cups. Place cups upside down on an
ungreased cookie sheet. Shape each circle over outsides of cups.(Don't
allow dough to curl under edges of cups.) Cover & let rise in a warm place
15 - 20 minutes or until slightly puffy.
Preheat oven to 375F. Mix egg yolk & 1 tbsp water; brush gently over bread
bowls. Bake 18 - 22 minutes or until golden brown. Carefully lift bread
bowls from custard cups. Cool bread bowls upright on wire rack.
