God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)
[Regeneration] is therefore, beyond all contradiction a supernatural change produced by the Sprit of God; and there is something in its nature which is mysterious and wonderful,...but however inscrutable...its effects are certain... Its effects will be, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ; a hatred to sin, and a love to holiness; supreme love to God, and unfeigned benevolence to men.
It is inconceivable to think that the same Spirit who raised Jesus from the dead would come into our lives and then do nothing. Where the Spirit is at work, our love and its "fruits of righteousness" abound "more and more" as we mature in our dependence upon Christ (Phil. 1:9-11).
Combine 1 1/2 cups oats, flour, sugar, cinnamon, soda and salt. Combine
juice, oil, egg and vanilla and add to dry ingredients. Mix well. Stir in
fruit. Spread into a 13x9 inch pan that has been sprayed with no-stick
cooking spray. Sprinkle with remaining oats. Bake at 375 for 20-22 minutes
or until lightly browned and edges pull away from sides of pan. Cool
completely. Cut into bars. Store tightly covered. (Bars may also be frozen
in individual bags. Thaw at room temperature or microwave on high for 30
seconds per bar.) Makes 20 bars.
