We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

When have you most recently felt the crushing pain of a burdened heart, darkened soul or guilty conscience solely because of your sin against God? Does sin hurt you as much as it hurts God? Does it make you sick, grieved or disappointed? Does it weigh on you prompting repentance and calling to God for restoration? Do you ever feel that your sin has divided you from a rich relationship with God and the feeling is one of emptiness, despair and regret?
Randy Smith

The invitation system…encourages people to make a response that “settles things” and, through subsequent counseling, to never doubt that decision. Anyone who is involved in personal evangelism can share countless examples of persons who, though presently living in gross sin, will nonetheless tell the evangelist that they are fine because they “made a decision for Christ” a certain number of years ago. They have never had any change in their life; they have no interest in the church, the Bible, or even God. But they have made their “decision.” Can we not see how dangerous such a system is to the souls of men?

CATEGORY CUISINE TAG YIELD

INGREDIENTS

1 c Water
1 c Milk
3 Eggs
1/2 c Buckwheat flour
2/3 c White flour
1/2 ts Salt
3 tb Melted butter

INSTRUCTIONS

Buckwheat pancakes are great, but here's something a little more elegant:
buckwheat crepes. Serve them with melted butter and cinnamon sugar. TO MAKE
BATTER IN A BLENDER, put all ingredients into a blender jar in order given,
and blend briefly at medium speed. Stop and scrape down the sides of the
blender jar; then blend for another 5 seconds or so. Pour out the batter
into a bowl, cover and let rest for 1 hour before using. To make batter by
hand, beat the eggs slightly, add milk, water, salt and melted butter, then
gradually whisk in flours. Pour the batter through a strainer and let sit
for 1/2 hour before using. To cook crepes, melt a little butter in a crepe
pan and cook. As buckwheat has an enormous capacity to absorb liquid, you
might find it necessary to thin the batter with more milk or water.
