We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

We are not simply a society in which we recognize the existence of, and the differences between, a variety of religious beliefs, but one in which we declare all such beliefs are to be equally valid. From that perspective there is only one kind of heresy, namely, to claim that one view is ultimately right, where others are wrong. In granting plausibility to everything, we may grant certainty to nothing. Tolerance has been embraced at the expense of truth… To allow that everyone and everything is right is to destroy the notion of truth itself.
Alistair Begg

Christian joy can only be realized, when Christ reigns there, alone and uninterruptedly. If the world is permitted to occupy a larger share of the affections and the heart – if plain and known duty is neglected – if the means of grace are carelessly used – if in all your efforts, your duties, and your services – whether in the Church or in the world, you do not entreat the Divine blessing and the Divine aid – then the Spirit of God is grieved. He withdraws His cheering influence; and it is utterly impossible to have the peace and joy, which flow from the inward, abiding presence of the Savior – and which is the work – the entire work, of His Divine Spirit, the true and only comforter.
William Cowper

3 dozen.

INSTRUCTIONS

This was in the Minneapolis paper this morning. I thought this group might
enjoy it.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Cream butter and sugar together. In a
separate bowl, mix flour, baking soda and salt, sift into butter mixture.
Add vanilla. Mix until smooth. Refrigerate at least 1 hour. Form into 1
inch balls, roll in chopped insects. Place balls on lightly greased baking
sheet. Press center of each ball slightly with thumb. Bake 10 to 15
minutes. Remove from oven. While still warm, place 1/2 teas. of orange
marmalade in center of each cookie. Let stand until completely cool. Makes
Insects can be purchased at local pet stores and bait shops. To clean out
their digestive tracts, feed them slices of apples, potatoes or pears.
Allow 24 hours for digestion and then place insects in a colander to
separate the remaining food, waste material and other debris. Do not use
insects treated with insecticide.
To prepare dry-roasted insects: Spread cleaned, live insects in baking pan
with sides(mealworms really move once they get warm), covered by paper
towel. (Crickets must first bo frozen or they'll hop all over the oven).
Bake bugs at 200 degrees for 1 to 2 hours until dry. To check for dryness,
crush insects with a spoon.
