God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)
We can do nothing, we say sometimes, we can only pray. That, we feel, is a terribly precarious second-best. So long as we can fuss and work and rush about, so long as we can lend a hand, we have some hope; but if we have to fall back upon God — ah, then things must be critical indeed!
Preheat oven to 250 F (very slow).
Melt fat in a large baking pan in oven. Remove pan from oven; stir
worcestershire sauce and hot pepper sauces into melted fat. Stir in nuts
and pretzels; add cereals and mix well.
Sprinkle with seasonings; stir.
Heat uncovered in oven for 20 to 30 minutes. Serve warm or cooled.
Store cooled cereal snack in lightly closed containers. If snack needs
recrisping, reheat in slow oven for a few minutes.
NOTE: Plain puffed cereals and bite-sized cereals may be used in this
recipe.
