We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

Through prayer, are you asking the Lord to reveal sin in your heart? Is God showing you sin as you study the Bible? Are you grieved over your sin? Are you more grieved over your sin than angered over the sins of others around you? Do you hate your sin? Do you hate your sin not primarily because of the consequences, but because you love God? Are you confessing your sin? Are you turning from your sin with the sufficient grace God provides?

How would we feel if we pray on Wednesday nights for revival, but it comes to a church down the road? How would we feel if another church is baptizing more converts? How would we feel if the decrease in our ministry might be needed for great success elsewhere in the church? I can provide countless examples, but the point is clear. Are we in this for ourselves – Grace Bible Church, our family our own identity, own kingdom – or are we solely about the Lord’s glory and ultimately His kingdom? Pride is all about me and my circles. Humility is all about Christ and being content if He receives all the glory, even if that means my actions are unappreciated or overlooked.

1 1/2 c Pecans, toasted chopped *

INSTRUCTIONS

In the South, they have a knack for taking something great, and making
it taste even better. Here's how they do it with their native
favorite...pecans. Wis/Gramma Completely cover the bottom of a
10x15-inch rimmed cookie sheet with the graham crackers; set aside. In
a heavy saucepan, heat and stir the candies and cream over low heat,
until the candies melt. Spread the chocolate mixture over the graham
crackers; quickly sprinkle with the nuts, gently pressing them into
the chocolate. Cool for 10 to 15 minutes, then cut into bars or break
into chunks like brittle. Serve immediately, or store in an airtight
container until ready to serve. NOTE If you don't buy the pecans
already toasted: Spread out the pecans on a cookie sheet, and bake
them at 350 degrees just until lightly browned (keep an eye on them,
it doesn't take long). Per serving: 1202 Calories; 96g Fat (69%
