We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

The reason why many poor souls have so little heat of joy in their hearts is that they have so little light of Gospel knowledge in their mind. The further a soul stands from the light of truth, the further he must be from the heat of comfort.
William Gurnall

True disciples do not have a neutral reaction toward Jesus. True disciples walk an almost paradoxical life of wanted to be around Him more than anyone or anything else, but also experiencing a fear that intensifies the more we are in His presence. It’s love and it’s respect. It’s intimacy and it’s reverence. It’s loyal friend and it’s holy God. Like Peter in Luke 5:8, both clinging to His feet and asking Him to leave.

CATEGORY CUISINE TAG YIELD
Valentines, Chocolate 1 Servings

INGREDIENTS

1 pt Strawberries; washed and patted dry
1 oz Semi sweet chocolate
1 1/2 tb Butter
1 tb Corn syrup
1 tb Rum; (optional)

INSTRUCTIONS

1. In a double boiler over hot, not boiling water, combine chocolate,
butter, corn syrup and rum.
2. Heat until chocolate is melted, stirring mixture until smooth. Remove
from heat.
3. Dip each berry into the chocolate, coating about 2/3 of it. Hold above
the bowl to allow excess chocolate to drip off.
4. Place the berry on waxed paper to harden. When cooled, refrigerate for
about 20 minutes.
Make Ahead: You may make these a day or two ahead, store in a covered
container in the refrigerator but they taste best if served within a few
hours of coating.
Something special? Want to add a little more pizzaz to plain strawberries?
Grab a syringe or flavor injector, fill it with Grand Marnier and inject a
small amount of the delicious liqueur into the center of the fruit.
Something spectacular! Twice dip the strawberries! Melt 1 oz. of white
chocolate. After dipping the berry in semi-sweet chocolate (coating about
2/3 of the berry), let it set, then dip the same berry in melted white
chocolate, coating about 1/3 of the berry. For the best visual effect, you
want to leave some of the semisweet chocolate visible.
Notes: Chocolate Kissed Strawberries are so simple, elegant and satisfying.
Feed them to your lover in whatever style suits your mood. Select berries
with a strong red color, green hulls and a fragrant strawberry scent. Avoid
blemished berries or scentless ones.
