We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

What moves God is not our supposed goodness or trophies of righteousness, but rather our desperation and cry to Him for grace. If we could earn it, grace would no longer be grace. Grace by its very definition is giving us what we do not deserve. If we were entitled to God’s favor, it would be a wage that we are due. But since we have merited nothing from God and God being God owes us nothing, we see His favor both in salvation and the blessings that follow all as a token of His undeserved grace to the praise of His glory.
Randy Smith

Thirty-eight states treat the killing of an unborn child as a form of homicide. They have what are called “fetal homicide laws.” It is illegal to take the life of the unborn if the mother wants the baby, but it is legal to take the life of the unborn if she doesn’t. In the first case the law treats the fetus as a human with rights; in the second case the law treats the fetus as non-human with no rights. Humanness is thus defined by the desire of the strong. Might makes right. We reject this right to define personhood in the case of Nazi anti-Semitism, Confederate race-based slavery, and Soviet Gulags. When we define the humanness of the unborn by the will of the powerful we know what we are doing.

INGREDIENTS

2 tb Peanut oil
1 md Yellow onion; chopped
2 Cloves garlic; minced
1 Bell pepper; chopped
1/4 c Raisins
1/2 c Whole canned tomatoes
3/4 ts Ground cinnamon
1/2 ts Ground cloves
1/4 ts Ground cumin
1/4 c Sesame seeds
1/2 c Cocktail sauce
1/2 ts Tabasco or to taste
2 c Chicken soup stock (see recipe) or chicken broth
2 Squares (1 oz each) semisweet baking chocolate

INSTRUCTIONS

MAKES 3-1/2 CUPS
This is actually a mole sauce, short-cut style. The chocolate gives the
sauce a wonderful lift and it can be used to enlighten otherwise dry cooked
poultry.
Heat a large saucepan and add the oil. Saut. the onions and garlic until
clear. Add the pepper, raisins, and tomatoes and cook for 10 minutes.
Remove from the stove and pur.e in your food processor or blender. Return
to the pan and add remaining ingredients, except the chocolate. Simmer for
10 minutes and then add the chocolate, stirring until it melts.
This is to be used over any kind of cooked poultry. For instance,
leftover fried chicken takes on a new life when you simmer the chicken for
a few minutes in this sauce. Or turkey meat, cooked, has an entirely
different flavor when you warm it with this sauce.
