Chocolate Waffles With Cinnamon-marshmallow

INGREDIENTS

***WAFFLES***
1/2 c Butter or margarine
Softened
1 c Sugar
1 c Milk
2 Eggs
1 t Vanilla
1 1/2 c Cake flour
2 t Baking powder
1/4 t Salt
2 oz Semisweet chocolate
Melted
***TOPPING***
1 Jar marshmallow cream
2 T Corn syrup
1/2 t Vanilla
1/4 t Cinnamon
Shaved semisweet baking
Chocolate

INSTRUCTIONS

For waffles, preheat waffle iron.  In a large bowl, cream butter and
sugar until fluffy.  Add milk, eggs, and vanilla; beat until smooth.
In a small bowl, combine cake flour, baking powder, and salt. Add dry
ingredients and melted chocolate to creamed mixture and blend; do not
overmix. For each waffle, pour about 1/2 cup batter into waffle iron.
Bake 5 to 7  minutes or according to manufacturer's instructions.  For
topping,  heat marshmallow cream and corn syrup over medium-low heat in
a  medium saucepan until marshmallow cream melts.  Stir in vanilla and
cinnamon. Serve waffles hot with warm topping.  Garnish with shaved
chocolate. Yield: about six 7 inch waffles.  Source: Leisure Arts The
