We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

After all we just learned in these verses that contrast believer and unbeliever, why a believer would even consider marrying an unbeliever is beyond my wildest understanding. How can you ever expect to come to agreement on how you worship God and spend money and raise the children? How can you want to devote your life to someone who won't share with you the Person in Jesus Christ that means the most to you? How can you want to be 'one flesh' with someone who is an enemy of your Savior?

Political activism can also tempt us to blur the lines regarding our mission field. Those in an opposing political party become “enemies” rather than lost souls who need Christ preached to them with love and compassion. Those who share our political convictions are embraced as “brothers and sisters” even though they may also be lost souls who need Christ. Ungodly partnerships can develop when true Christians join hands with cult groups and other unbelievers based on shared political ideologies. And unbiblical perspectives can be adopted, based on maintaining the party line, even when those views don't square with scripture.

1. Mix sugar into the coffee and bring it to a rolling boil; immediately
turn off the heat. Let cool.
2. Chop vanilla bean into small pieces, being very careful to keep the
little seeds. Place the pieces in the bottom of a large sterilized glass
jar and pour in the vodka.
3. Add cooled sugar-coffee mixture and chocolate syrup. Stir and cover
container; let mixture rest for 30 days. Strain twice through cheesecloth
or a coffee filter. Liqueur will keep[ well for several months on the
pantry shelf. NOTES
