We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

I have argued that there is a pattern of love in marriage ordained by God. The roles of husband and wife are not the same. The husband is to takes his special cues from Christ as the head of the church. The wife is to take her special cues from the church as submissive to Christ. In doing this the sinful and damaging results of the Fall begin to be reversed. The Fall twisted man’s loving headship into hostile domination in some men and lazy indifference in others. The Fall twisted woman’s intelligent, willing submission into manipulative obsequiousness in some women and brazen insubordination in others.
John Piper

The exclusive claim of Christianity about Christ is not centered on our belief that Jesus was right about God. It is centered on our claim that God was fully present in Christ to reconcile the world to Himself (2 Cor. 5:18). It is the theological claim about Jesus (that He is God) that makes the spiritual claims of Jesus potent. Jesus' words are right because those words are God's words (Jn. 14:10b). Jesus’ “way” is not superior because it promotes a higher ethic or because it champions values that resonate with our spiritual sensitivities. Jesus' way is true because in Him we find God drawing us to Himself.

CATEGORY CUISINE TAG YIELD
Grains Chinese Entrees, Chinese, Pasta, Usenet 4 Servings

INGREDIENTS

2 tb Garlic, minced (fresh)
3 tb Coriander, minced (fresh)
1/2 c Peanut butter
5 oz Soy sauce, light
5 tb Sugar
Rice wine (between 1/2 t to 1 T)
1 tb Hot bean paste (up to 2 T)
1 tb Sesame oil
1 lb Lo mein noodles (other noodles will do, such as ramen noodles, or even spaghetti)

INSTRUCTIONS

Cook the lo mein according to directions. Let cool. Mix the rest of the
ingredients. Peanut butter doesn't mix very well, so for a few minutes
you'll think you've made a mistake. Don't worry, just keep stirring until
it's smooth. Add the sauce to the noodles.
Hot bean sauce also goes by the name Szechuan bean sauce etc. This is the
main "spicy" ingredient and should be handled with care. Vary this
ingredient to taste. This recipe is probably very good without it. It's
also quite good served when the noodles are still hot.
  NOTES:
* Mildly spicy cold noodles -- I first had this at Brandy Ho's in
Chinatown, San Francisco. I forget where I found the recipe.
: Difficulty: easy.
: Time: 10 minutes preparation, 5 minutes cooking.
: Precision: no need to measure.
