We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

What once bothered us doesn't bother us anymore. What once activated our conscience doesn't seem to anymore. What we knew was outside of God’s boundaries, and therefore functionally outside of ours, lives inside our boundaries, and it doesn’t matter to us anymore. It is a scary place to be. The hard heart is a stony heart. It is not malleable anymore. It’s hard and resistant to change, no longer tender and responsive to the squeeze of the hands of the Spirit. There is evil in our hearts and in the acts of our hands, and we’re okay with it. Could there be a more dangerous place for a believer to be?
Paul David Tripp

The evidence for our Lord’s life and death and resurrection may be and often has been shown to be satisfactory. It is good according to the common rules for distinguishing good evidence from bad. Thousands and tens of thousands of persons have gone through it piece by piece as carefully as every judge summing up a most important cause. I have myself done it many times over, not to persuade others but to satisfy myself. I have been used for many years to study the histories of other times and to examine and weigh the evidence of those who have written about them, and I know of no one fact in the history of mankind which is proved by better and fuller evidence than the great sign which God hath given us, that Christ died and rose again from the dead.

Meats Mc, Chilled sou 1 Servings

INGREDIENTS

2 c Chicken broth
2 lb Zucchini; coarsely chopped
(about 4 medium)
1/3 c Tahini paste; (1/3 to 1/2)
4 Cloves garlic; (4 to 6)
1/3 c Fresh lemon juice (or more to taste)
1/4 ts Salt
1/4 ts White pepper
Yogurt (about 1-1/2 cups)
1/4 Red onion; chopped

INSTRUCTIONS

Heat the chicken broth until boiling. Add the garlic and the chopped
zucchini. Cover and simmer on low 2 to 3 minutes, or until the zucchini is
soft and has cooked through. Pour the mixture into a blender (Note: you may
need to blend the soup in 2 batches). Add the tahini paste, lemon juice,
salt and white pepper. Puree until all ingredients are smooth. Pour the
mixture into a large serving bowl, then chill thoroughly. Before serving,
correct the seasonings; you may need more tahini, lemon juice or salt to
punch up the flavors. Stir into each soup bowl (or into the main serving
bowl of soup) a generous dollop or 2 of yogurt per person. Serve topped
with the chopped red onions, passing more yogurt at table.
