From a biblical point of view, prayer is related to everything that we are and everything that God is. God does not respond to our prayers. God responds to us: to our whole life. What we say to Him cannot be separated from what we think, feel, will and do. Prayer is communication from whole persons to the Wholeness which is the living God. Prayer is misunderstood until we see it this way.
There is only one way to be revived and healed from our backslidings so that we may become fruitful even in old age. We must take a steady look at the glory of Christ in His special character, in His grace and work, as shown to us in the Scripture.
Here is the McDougall corn butter recipe. It might be an acquired taste.
Put the cornmeal and 1 cup water in a small saucepan and cook, stirrinf
constantly until smooth and thick. Place in blender with remaining
ingredients and process until smooth. Add more water if needed to achieve
the consistency of a spread.
use: as a butter substitute on toast or bread or over hot vegetables. Will
keep for a week in the refrigerator.
