We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

I would like to buy three dollars worth of God, please. Not enough to explode my soul or disturb my sleep, but just enough of Him to equal a cup of warm milk or a snooze in the sunshine. I don't want enough of Him to make me love a black man or pick beets with a migrant. I want ecstasy, not transformation. I want the warmth of the womb, not a new birth. I want a pound of the Eternal in a paper sack, please. I would like to buy three dollars worth of God, please (Wilbur Reese).

1) Lightly grease a 7 by 7 inch baking dish with corn oil. Preheat the oven
to 350F. 2) Beat the eggs and evaporated milk in a small bowl until
blended. Stir the sugar and cornstarch together in a small bowl and add
them slowly to the egg mixture, beating constantly, until blended. Fold in
the corn, salt, and pepper. Pour the mixture into the greased baking dish
and dot with the butter. 3) Bake until the pudding is set and golden brown
on top, about 1 hour. Serve hot from the dish.
