We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

For many years, the resurrection of Jesus Christ has been the central certainty of my life, as it has for thousands and hundreds of thousands of Christians. To me the great value of Easter Sunday lies right here. Amid all the question marks of this questioning age in which we live, the resurrection of Jesus Christ is God's great exclamation point. And if you are aware of the questions, the doubts, and uncertainties that surround us today, I think you will agree with me that we are very much in need of exclamation marks in this day. The belief of Christians this Easter Sunday morning is an island of faith in the midst of an ocean of doubt and uncertainty (Ray Stedman).

Sad will be the day for every man when he becomes absolutely contented with the life he is living, with the thoughts that he is thinking, with the deeds that he is doing, when there is not forever beating at the doors of his soul some great desire to do something larger, which he knows that he was meant and made to do.

(David Bailey) A recipe in one of my cookbooks, "Whole Foods For the
Whole Family" "may" be what you are looking for. I have never made
this recipe (I keep meaning to but keep forgeting about it).
Therefore, I don't know anything about the recipe but I know the
cookbook is a really good one. Here goes: Grease a deep metal or
glass bowl or 1# coffee can. Turn slow-cooker on high to preheat.
Dissolve yeast in water. Combine with milk, oats, salt, oil, honey,
egg and wheat germ. Add flour and knead until smooth and elastic,
about 5 minutes. Turn dough immediately into bowl or can and cover
loosely with foil. In bottom of slow-cooker, place 1/2 c. water and a
trivel or some crumpled foil. Place can or bowl on this, cover and
bake on high for 3 hours. Top of bread will not necessarily brown.
According to the recipe, "Just 15 minutes work time! A great way to
have nutritious, fresh bread with a minimum of fuss, especially for
small families. You don't waste oven energy for just one loaf of
bread. Nice for a hot summer day." MM-RECIPES@IDISCOVER.NET
