God’s plan from the beginning has been for one man and one woman to become one flesh in the covenant of marriage. When no suitable helper was found for Adam, the Lord God made a woman (Gen. 2:20, 22). She was bone of his bone and flesh of his flesh, and the two became one flesh (Gen. 2:23–24). God made the man and the woman to fit together, quite literally. In the creation, God intended for man and woman to exist in a state in which they could enjoy one another in an exclusive, lifelong “one flesh” union that would result in “filling the earth.” This kind of union only comes about in a heterosexual marriage.
There is a direct line that runs from our doctrine to our actions, from what is in our minds to what is in our words and ways… The heart spills over into life. Thoughts of God, and of all else, erupt into acts. The filling of the heart with wise thoughts of God becomes the most important, the most practical, business in the world.
Heat oven to 400 degrees. Mix flour, sugars, baking powder, cinnamon and
salt in a bowl. Mix cereal and milk in another bowl and let stand about 3
minutes; stir will. Stir in egg, oil and peel. Add to flour mixture; mix
just enough to moisten flour. Fold in cranberries. Spoon into greased
muffin pans, filling each cup 3/4 full. Bake 25 minutes or until golden
brown. Makes 12 muffins.
