God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)
Those who know God the best are the richest and most powerful in prayer. Little acquaintance with God, and strangeness and coldness to Him, make prayer a rare and feeble thing.
The extent to which I love God and reflect that love by doing His will revealed in the Word of God is also the degree to which I “love what is good” [see Rom. 12:9]. Consequently, the real questions I must face are: Do I really love God? How much do I really love God?
1. Combine sugars, corn syrup, butter or margarine, milk and salt in a
medium-size heavy saucepan.
2. Heat, stirring constantly, to boiling, then cook, stirring several
times, to 238F on a candy thermometer. (A teaspoonful of syrup will form a
soft ball when dropped in cold water.) Remove from heat at once. Add
vanilla, but do not stir in.
3. Cool mixture in pan to 110F, or until lukewarm; beat with wooden spoon
until mixture thickens and begins to lose its gloss. (This will take about
15 minutes.) 4. Spread in buttered 9x5x3" loaf pan. Let stand until set and
cool; cut into squares.
Makes about 2 pounds.
A Message from our Provider:
“Perhaps it takes a purer faith to praise God for unrealized blessings than for those we once enjoyed or those we enjoy now. #A.W. Tozer”
