We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

But what about love and loyalty when no one else seems to be hurt, such as premarital sexual relationships? Such an argument does not apprehend biblical love. Love is not simply the absence of obvious injury to anyone. For example, critical thoughts don’t victimize, but they are unloving and wrong. Defining love in terms of whether people get hurt misses the heart of biblical teaching. We may not automatically decide what form love takes. God tells us how to love. When we love on our terms rather than His, we are in sin. Even if our sin does not seem to hurt another human being, it is still sin. If sin were reduced to hurting others, then we could become morally perfect by isolating ourselves from all people. Sin, however, is not primarily a human-against-human action. It is human-against-God. God defines love as obedience to Him.

[Discernment is] a mental sense of smell that helps you notice when “something smells fishy”…How can you sharpen this mental sense of smell? How can you develop discernment? First, you need to have a spirit of obedience to Jesus Christ. If your spirit is in rebellion, your nose will be in rebellion too. Second, you need to study the Word of God and other Christian literature. We’re talking about a mental, not physical, sense of smell. In order to develop it you have to use your mind. Third, you need to practice smelling. Smell everything. Your power of discernment is like a muscle. Use it or lose it. Fourth, you need to be accountable to other believers in a healthy Christian fellowship. If you try to learn to smell by yourself, your mental sense of smell will be eccentric. You’ll be like someone who takes a deep whiff of dung and says, “Ah, roses!”

Sugar
1 T Baking powder
1/4 t Baking soda
2 T Plus11/2teaspoons Prune

1 t Vanilla extract

about 11/2*medium
1/3 c Coarsely chopped fresh or
Frozen cranberries
1/3 c Golden raisins
3 oz Prunes, about1/2cup
1 c Water or fruit juice

INSTRUCTIONS

use blender or food processor to puree prunes. use immediately or
store in airtight container in fridge. Combine the oats and skim milk,
stir to mix well, and set aside for at least 5 minutes. Combine the
flour, brown sugar, baking powder, and baking soda, and stir to mix
well. Add the oat milk mixture and the Prune Puree, egg whites,
vanilla extract, and pears, and stir just until the dry ingredients
are moistened. Fold in the cranberries and raisins. Coat muffin cups
with nonstick cooking spray, and fill 3/4 full with the batter. Bake
at 350F for 15 to 17 minutes, or just until a wooden toothpick
inserted in the center of the muffin comes out clean. Remove the
muffin tin from the oven, and allow it to sit for 5 minutes before
removing the muffins. Serve warm or at room temp. My experience: I
substituted frozen and thawed mixed berries for the cranberries.
Making extra prune puree as stated above is confusing -- next time
I'll just throw some prunes (probably 2-3) and juice in the blender.
The cook time may be low -- mine took 20 - 25 minutes. Source: This is
