It speaks of the purchase of our salvation through the payment of a price for our sins… The New Testament also uses the related figure of ransom which refers to the price Jesus paid to purchase our salvation (Mark 10:45; 1 Tim. 2:6). The focus here is on the freedom we receive from the captivity of sin, through the price paid by Christ.

Fern’s Lemon Pie (lightened Version Below)

Grains, Eggs Pies 8 Servings

INGREDIENTS

1 Whole large lemon
including peel seeded
and
chopped
1 STICK butter, softened 2 T
butter is sufficient
1 1/2 c Sugar
4 Whole eggs

INSTRUCTIONS

Put all through food processor.  Pour into unbaked pie shell and bake
at 350 degrees 40 minutes.  Serve warm with whipped cream.  My
Lightened Version: I replaced the butter with 1Tablespoon Butter  Buds
(dry) and substitued 1 cup Egg Beaters for the eggs. I find no  topping
is needed.  I usually use a graham cracker crust, but you can  use any
crust of your choosing. This version of the filling contains  only 0.1
grams fat.  Note:  If you want to use butter, 2 tablespoons is really
enough.  When you use a stick of butter, the filling is swimming in
