Gooey Shoo-Fly Pie

INGREDIENTS

2 c Flour
3/4 c Brown sugar
1/3 c Lard or butter
1/2 ts Nutmeg; optional
1 ts Cinnamon; optional
1 c Molasses
1/2 c Brown sugar
2 Eggs
1 c Hot water
1 ts Baking soda; dissolved in
Hot water

INSTRUCTIONS

CRUMB MIX
SYRUP
Make crumbs by mixing together all crumb ingredients.
To make syrup, combine the syrup ingredients together.
Pour 1/2 of the syrup into a pie crust, then add 1/2 of the crumbs. Add the
remaining syrup and the rest of the crumbs. Bake the pie for 10 minutes at
400 oF, then reduce the heat to 350 oF for 50 minutes. This recipe makes
enough for 2 pies.
