Grandma’s Lazy Day Cake

INGREDIENTS

1/2 c Butter
1/3 c Whipping Cream
1 1/4 c Sugar
3 Eggs
2 c All-Purpose Flour
2 t Baking Soda
1/2 t Salt
1 c Firmly Packed Brown Sugar
1 c Chopped Pecans
1/2 c Butter, Melted
1/4 c Whipping Cream, Or Milk

INSTRUCTIONS

Heat oven to 350F. In 1-quart sauce pan combine 1/2 cup butter and  1/3
cup whipping cream. Cook over low heat, stirring occasionally,  until
butter melts (7-8 minutes); set aside. In large mixer bowl  combine
sugar and eggs. Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl often,  until
creamy (1-2 minutes). Add butter mixture, flour, baking powder,  and
salt. Continue beating, scraping bowl often, untilwell mixed (1-2
minutes). Spread batter into greased and floured 13x9 baking pan.  Bake
for25-30 minutes or until toothpick inserted in centre comes out
clean. Heat broiler. In small bowl stir together all frosting
ingredients until well mixed. Spread over warm cake. Broil 2-4 inches
from heat until bubbly (2-4 minutes). Serve warm or cool.  Recipe by:
