INGREDIENTS

2 tb Olive oil
1/2 c Finely-chopped onion
1 tb Finely-chopped garlic
1 c Orzo pasta -; (1/2 lb)
1 ts Salt
Freshly-ground black pepper; to taste
1/4 c Assorted chopped fresh herbs
(such as basil; parsley, and thyme)
3 1/2 c Chicken stock
1/4 c Chopped smoked sausage
1 tb Unsalted butter; softened

INSTRUCTIONS

Heat oil in a saucepan and add onions, garlic, orzo, salt and pepper. Cook,
stirring constantly, 2 minutes. Stir in herbs and stock and bring to a
boil. Reduce heat and cook, stirring occasionally, about 20 minutes. Remove
pan from heat and stir in sausage and butter. This recipe yields ??
servings.
