Lemon Sauce

INGREDIENTS

1/2 c Sugar
2 tb Cornstarch
1 c Water
1 Lemon; juice of
2 ts Grated lemon rind
2 tb Butter

INSTRUCTIONS

In a saucepan combine cornstarch & sugar. Add water. Simmer mixture until
it is clear & thickened. Remove pan from heat & add lemon juice, butter &
lemon rind. (Lime juice & lime rind may be substituted for lemon.) Serve
hot with gingerbread, rice pudding, bread pudding, etc. Makes 1-1/2 cups.
