Preheat electric oven to 350F. Grease a 13x9x2-inch pan. In large bowl of
electric mixer, cream butter and sugar. Beat in egg and vanilla. Mix in
flour. Stir in 3/4 c of the nuts. Spread batter evenly in prepared pan.
Sprinkle with remaining 3/4 c nuts. Bake for 25-30 min. Cut into bars
while hot and remove from pan while warm. Makes 32 bars.
