Ingredients: 1/2 c -Cold water; 1/4 c Flour;all purpose; 1 c Maple syrup;pure; 1 Egg;lightly beaten; 2 tb Butter; 1 Pie shell;8 " baked

Take your choice. Laborsaving machines have turned out to be body-killing devices. Our affluence has allowed both mobility and isolation of the nuclear family, and as a result our divorce courts, our prisons and our mental institutions are flooded. In saving ourselves we have nearly lost ourselves.

Maple Syrup Pie

INGREDIENTS

1/2	c	-Cold water
1/4	c	Flour;all purpose
1	c	Maple syrup;pure
1		Egg;lightly beaten
2	tb	Butter
1		Pie shell;8 " baked

INSTRUCTIONS

Whisk water with flour until smooth; stir into syrup in small heavy
saucepan. Stir in egg; cook over medium ~low heat, stirring, until thick,
about 7 minutes. Stir in butter until melted. Pour into pie shell. Let
cool.
