Minnesota Cabbage Rolls

INGREDIENTS

1 lb Ground beef
2 ts Salt
3/4 c Cooked rice
16 oz Tomato sauce
1/4 c Brown sugar
1/4 lb Ground pork
1/2 ts Pepper
1 Onion; minced
12 lg Cabbage leaves
1/4 c Lemon juice or vinegar

INSTRUCTIONS

Combine meat, salt, pepper, rice, onion and half tomato sauce. Cover
cabbage leaves with boiling water for 4 minutes. Drain. Place portions of
meat mixture in center of each cabbage leaf. Roll up, folding ends over.
Place seam down in skillet. Mix remaining tomato sauce with brown sugar and
lemon juice. Pour over rolls. Simmer covered, 1 to 1 1/2 hours. Baste
often.
