Old English Cheddar Soup

INGREDIENTS

2 sm Onions; peeled & diced
3 md Carrots; peeled & diced
4 oz Bacon; diced
2 tb Butter
3 tb Flour
4 c Chicken broth
1/2 c Milk
1/4 c Amberg's Sur-Lie Chardonnay
10 oz Heluva Good Sharp Cheddar Cheese
Salt; pepper and nutmeg

INSTRUCTIONS

Cook bacon in butter until light brown. Add onions and carrots and saute
for a few minutes. Stir in flour and cook for 2 minutes, stirring
continuously. Add broth, milk and Chardonnay. Simmer for 10 minutes. Add
cheese and season to taste.
