Pasta Carbonara

INGREDIENTS

1 lb Bacon; chopped in 1" pieces
8 tb Sweet butter
1 Medium onion; chopped
1 c Light cream (half-n-half)
1 Egg; lightly beaten
1 c Parmesan cheese; grated
1/2 c Italian parsley; chopped
1 lb Spaghetti or linguine
3/4 c Chicken broth; heated
Pepper; freshly ground

INSTRUCTIONS

Cook bacon until lightly brown.  Saute onion in butter until onion is a
light brown.
In small bowl, combine cream, egg, 2/3 cup Parmesan cheese, and parsley.
Set aside.
Cook pasta according to instructions on package. Drain. Return pasta to pot
and add onion mixture, cream mixture, bacon, broth, and freshly ground
pepper.  Serve immediately with remaining cheese.
