Plum Sauce

INGREDIENTS

1 Jar (12 oz) plum preserves
2 tb Vinegar
1 tb Brown sugar
1 tb Finely chopped onion
1 ts Seeded and finely chopped dried red chili pepper or 1 tsp crushed red pepper
1 Clove garlic minced
1/2 ts Ground ginger

INSTRUCTIONS

In a small saucepan combine all the ingredients. bring the mixture to a
boil stirring constantly. remove from the heat, cool slightly. refrigerate
in a covered container overnight to blend seasonings. makes 1 1/4 cups.
this is from a Better Homes and Gardens cookbook called Oriental Cookbook.
it was published in 1977, and while i did'nt make this particular recipe i
have made others from the book and they are very good. Posted to TNT -
