Pork And Apple Schnitzel

INGREDIENTS

8 Pork Leg Schnitzels
Pepper; to taste
1 c Thick apple sauce
1 tb Sage; freshly chopped
2 c Dry breadcrumbs
Canola oil to shallow fry

INSTRUCTIONS

Season pork with pepper. Combine applesauce and sage on a plate, coat
schnitzels on both sides. Place into breadcrumbs to cover schnitzels and
refrigerate 30 minutes. Heat oil and shallow fry (about 2 to 3 minutes each
side) until golden. Serve with potato and celery salad and mixed salad
greens.
This recipe has been developed in accordance with National Heart Foundation
Dietary Guidelines.
NOTES : Preparation time: 10 minutes + 30 minutes chilling time.  Pork
cooking time: 6 minutes.
