INGREDIENTS

An orange-sized tamarind
ball
1 T Jaggery, powdered
1 t Turmeric
12 Green chiles, chopped
4 Sprigs curry leaves, chopped
1 4" piece ginger, chopped
Salt, to taste
For Seasoning-
1 t Black mustard seeds
1 t Black gram dal
3 Red chiles, broken
4 T Oil

INSTRUCTIONS

Extract juice from tamarind. Heat oil and add mustard seeds, black
gram dal and red chilies. When brown, add green chilies and curry
leaves and fry for a couple of minutes. Now add tamarind juice,
jaggery, turmeric, salt and ginger. Cook till mixture is thick.  From:
