We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

A.H. Strong uses the analogy of the coupling. The coupling joins a train of cars to a locomotive. The coupling has no power in itself. It cannot move a single car an inch. All the power is in the locomotive. But the coupling is the link by which the power of the locomotive is transmitted to the cars. Faith has no power in itself; it is not a ground of salvation; it is not a good work. It is merely that by which all the goodness and grace and glory of Christ comes to the sinner.

CATEGORY CUISINE TAG YIELD
Grains Vegetarian 1 servings

INGREDIENTS

1 cn Tomato paste; (just about any brand will do for most of these ingredients)
1 cn Kidney beans
2 cn Black beans
1 cn Stewed tomatoes
1 c TVP; (Green Giant "ground b**f" works well)
Chili powder to taste

INSTRUCTIONS

This is a great recipe to put together when you're in a pinch. You can make
it for any number of people (even the carnivores!) and the ingredients are
very easy to find. I've been making it since I became a vegetarian 4 years
ago (I'm 18 now), so its simple enough for younger people to make, too.
Rinse the beans thoroughly to cut down on the sodium content. Combine all
ingredients into a large pot, and since they're all pre-cooked, all you
need to do is warm them up.
I usually serve this over a couple of hearty slices of wheat bread, but
brown rice would also be tasty. If you're eating this on a cold day, a nice
cup of green tea also warms you up!
