We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

Let thy great joy and comfort evermore be, to have His pleasure done in thee, though in pains, sickness, persecutions, oppressions, or inward griefs and pressures of heart, coldness or barrenness of mind, darkening of thy will and senses, or any temptations spiritual or bodily.
Robert Leighton

Meekness is not to be confused with weakness: the meek are not simply submissive because they lack the resources to be anything else. Meekness is quite compatible with great strength and ability as humans measure strength, but whatever strength or weakness the meek person has is accompanied by humility and a genuine dependence on God. True meekness may be a quality of the strong, those who could assert themselves but choose not to do so.

Dairy Mennonite Digest, Feb95, Fatfree 1 Servings

INGREDIENTS

1 c Nonfat milk
1 tb Cornstarch
1 tb Cocoa
3 tb Sugar*
1 ts Vanilla extract

INSTRUCTIONS

Whisk first four ingredients together in a saucepan (you want to make sure
that the cornstarch is dissolved!). Turn heat to medium. Cook until mixture
is hot, stirring the entire time (don't let it boil). Turn heat to low and
cook until pudding thickens. Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla. Eat.
This recipe doesn't get as puddinglike as instant, but even if it totally
fails, it makes a great thick hot chocolate. Also, according to my
calculations, it has not much more than 100 calories for AN ENTIRE CUP. It
has never failed to cure my chocolate cravings.
*I start with 2 tablespoons sugar and add more to taste. I forget how much
was in the recipe to start with, but it was too much.
