Rose-flavoured Turkish Delight

INGREDIENTS

3 Envelopes unflavoured
gelatin
2 c Sugar
1 c Water
1/2 t Good rose flavouring
Red food colouring
1 c Icing sugar, or more mixed
with
1 c Corn starch, or more

INSTRUCTIONS

1994 05:09:44 +0000 Bring gelatin, sugar, and water  to boil, then
simmer for 20 minutes. Add rose flavouring and a few  drops of
colouring. Strain into buttered pan and chill 24 hours.  Turn out onto
slab covered with 1/2 icing sugar mixed with 1/2  cornstarch. Cut into
1' squares, being careful not to let them touch  each other (or they
stick!). Roll each in sugar mix, and pack in an  air-tight tin with
