Sausage-Cabbage Bake

INGREDIENTS

1 tb Vegetable oil
3/4 c Sliced onions
1 c Diced red apples
3 c Shredded green cabbage
1 c Chicken broth
1 lb Prepared pork sausage; chopped
1 tb Bayou Blast; see * Note

INSTRUCTIONS

* Note: See the .Bayou Blast - {Emeril.s Creole Seasoning}. recipe which is
included in this collection.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In a large skillet heat oil with onions and
apples over medium heat; sweat until onions are tender, about 5 minutes.
Fold in cabbage and toss well. Add broth, sausages and season to taste with
Bayou Blast. Cook just until cabbage wilts. Transfer mixture to a baking
dish. Bake until hot and golden-brown, about 25 minutes. This recipe yields
8 servings.
