Sauted Asparagus

INGREDIENTS

2 lb Asparagus; (only the tender portions)
2 tb Sliced onion
3 tb Oil
3 tb Soy sauce
1 1/4 ts Sugar
2 tb Sherry
1 pk Powdered beef broth; (i.e. MBT or Herb Ox)
1/2 ts Cornstarch mixed; mixed with:
3 tb Water

INSTRUCTIONS

Wash asparagus and cut diagonally about 2 inches long and 1/4 inch thick.
Heat oil, brown onion a little; add asparagus cooking over a high heat
until its color turns bright green. Mix soy sauce, sugar, powdered beef
broth and sherry together; add to asparagus, and thicken with cornstarch
mixture. This same recipe can be used substituting broccoli, mushrooms or
string beans for the asparagus. Enjoy
