Sharon’s Rum Balls

INGREDIENTS

3 c Finely crushed vanilla wafers
1 c Finely chopped walnuts
1 1/3 c (15 oz can) sweetened condensed milk
1/3 c Bourbon or rum
Confectioner's sugar

INSTRUCTIONS

Combine the wafer crumbs and nuts.  Add sweetened condensed milk and
bourbon or rum; blend well. Chill about 1 hour. Dip palms of hands into
confectioner's sugar.  Shape by teaspoonfuls into small balls.  Roll in
confectioner's sugar or candy sprinkles (try chocolate).  Store in covered
container in refrigerator.  Candies can be kept moist and fresh for several
weeks.
