Sherried Tomatoes

INGREDIENTS

6 Tomatoes
6 tb Sherry
1 1/2 ts Dillweed
Freshly ground black pepper
6 tb Mayonnaise
6 tb Grated Cheddar cheese

INSTRUCTIONS

Turn over to broil.  Remove core from each tomato; cut tomatoes in half
horizontally.  Place, cut side up, on a cookie sheet or in a muffin tin.
Pierce cut surface several times with a fork to allow sherry to penetrate.
Sprinkle each tomato half with sherry, dill and pepper. Broil for 2 to 3
minutes.  (May be prepared to this point 1 hour before serving.) Mix
mayonnaise and cheese together; spread over tomatoes. Broil again for 2 to
3 minutes until bubbly and browned. Serve immediately. Serves 6 Typed in
