Spicy Molasses Baked Beans

INGREDIENTS

Cooking spray
1 c Chopped onion
1 Jalapeno pepper; seeded and minced
2 cn (15.5oz) Great Northern beans; drained
1 cn (16 oz) pinto beans; drained
1/2 c Catsup
1/2 c Water
3 tb Dark brown sugar
3 tb Molasses
2 tb Yellow mustard
1 ts Chili powder
1/2 ts Liquid Smoke

INSTRUCTIONS

Serves 10 (serving size 1/2 cup)
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
2. Coat a small nonstick skillet with cooking spray, and place over med
high heat until hot. Add onion and jalapeno pepper, saute 2 mins or until
tender. Combine onion mixture, beans and remaining ingredients in a large
bowl, stir well.
3. Spoon bean mixture into a 2 qt casserole coated with cooking spray.
Bake, uncovered at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until thick and bubbly.
