Stale Bread Casserole

INGREDIENTS

1 Loaf stale bread; crusts removed
1/2 lb Sliced American cheese
1 1/4 c Evaporated milk
1 1/4 c Water
4 Eggs; beaten
1/2 ts Dry mustard
2 tb Minced onion
Salt and pepper; to taste

INSTRUCTIONS

Slice bread in 12 slices.  Arrange 6 slices in a large greased baking pan.
Cover with all of the cheese and the rest of the bread. Blend milk, water,
eggs, mustard, onion and seasonings.  Pour over bread and let stand at
least 1 hour.  Bake in a 325 degree oven for 45 to 50 minutes or until
puffy and brown.
