Strawberry-pineapple Salsa

INGREDIENTS

1 c Fresh pineapple, diced
1 c Fresh strawberries, hulled
and diced
3 T Sweet onion, finely diced
1 Fresh jalapeno, seeded and
finely minced
1 T Unseasoned rice vinegar
2 T Fresh cilantro, minced
Salt to taste

INSTRUCTIONS

From this past Thursday's Food section in the Miami Herald to serve
with grilled foods.  In a nonreactive bowl, combine pineapple,
strawberries, onion,  jalapeno and rice vinegar. Toss and allow to rest
30 minutes but not  more than 1 hour. Add cilantro and salt. Taste and
adjust seasoning  as needed. Makes 4 half-cup servings.  Per serving:
27 calories, 0.4 grams protein, 8.2 grams carbohydrate,  0.2 grams fat,
8% calories as fat, 1.3 grams fiber, 0 mg cholesterol,  1.4 mg sodium.
