Stuffed Peppers

INGREDIENTS

1 lb Ground beef; (to 1 1/2 pounds)
2 sl Bread; toasted (up to 3), crushed fine
1 cn Cream of Mushroom Soup
6 sl Velveeta Cheese
1/2 lb Velveeta Cheese; cut in small cubes
1/2 c Milk
6 Green peppers
Salt and pepper to taste

INSTRUCTIONS

Preheat oven to 350°.
Brown the ground beef in skillet and drain off any grease. Add the Cream of
Mushroom soup, bread crumbs, 1/2 pound of Velveeta cheese and milk and mix
over low heat until the cheese starts to melt. Add salt and pepper to
taste.
Cut the tops off of the green peppers and clean out the seeds and membrane.
Steam the peppers approximately 5 minutes and drain. Place the peppers in a
baking dish and stuff with the ground beef mixture. Pour about 1/2 cup
water in the bottom of the baking dish and cover with foil. Bake in oven
about 30 minutes, then remove the foil and cover each pepper with 1 slice
of Velveeta cheese. Return to oven and continue baking until the cheese is
melted.
