Super-simple Apple Treat

INGREDIENTS

2 Whole wheat toast
1 Apple, cored and sliced
skin left on
1 t Butter or margarine, up to
1 t Brown sugar, up to 4
Ground cinnamon
Ground nutmeg
Sliced or grated cheese
optional

INSTRUCTIONS

Place toast on a cookie sheet or oven-proof plate. Arrange sliced
apple on toast, dot with butter/margarine, sprinkle brown sugar over
and dust with cinnamon and/or numeg to taste. place some chese on top
if you wish. Put under broiler until bubbly and brown on the edges of
the apple pieces.  And lest we forget, a baked apple is even simpler.  
Core apples,  slice knobs off of bottom to make a flat base.  Place on
a greased  baking dish, sprinkle the butter, sugar and spices down the
centers,  and bake in a 325 degree oven until soft and tender - the
