Sweet and Sour Hamburgers

Meats Meat 4 Servings

INGREDIENTS

1/2 c Water
1/4 c Cider vinegar
1/4 c Packed brown sugar
1 cn Pineapple chunks; juice of
3 tb Packed cornstarch
1/2 ts Salt
1 tb Soy sauce
1 1/2 lb Hamburger
1/2 c Minced onion
1/2 c Sliced green bell pepper
1 cn Pineapple chunks (from above)

INSTRUCTIONS

SAUCE
OTHER INGREDIENTS
Fry hamburger patties smaller & thicker than for buns; brown well. Combine
sauce ingredients & cook until clear & slightly thickened, stirring often.
Add meat & simmer over low heat for 30 minutes or until tender. Add
remaining ingredients & cook for 2 minutes. Serve over hot rice.
