Texas True Barbecue Sauce

INGREDIENTS

2 c Ketchup
1/2 md Onion; minced
2 Cloves garlic; minced
1/2 c Worcestershire sauce
1/3 c Fresh lemon juice
1 tb Unsulphered molasses
1 tb Malt vinegar
2 ts Kosher salt
2 ts Mustard; preferably creole
1 ts Crushed red pepper
1 ts Tabasco pepper sauce
1/2 ts Thyme

INSTRUCTIONS

Combine all of the ingredients in a medium nonreactive saucepan and simmer
over low heat for
10 minutes to blend the flavors. Remove from the heat and let cool.
Make ahead: The sauce can be refrigerated for up to 1 week.
