INGREDIENTS

1 Dozen ripe peaches; sliced, (*) see note
2 c Flour
1 c Sugar
1 c Butter or margarine; melted
2 ts Baking powder
1 ts Salt
1 ts Vanilla
1 c Milk
1 c Sugar
1/2 c Water

INSTRUCTIONS

SUGAR WATER GLAZE
Preheat the oven to 350°F. Slice the peaches into the bottom of a 9×13-inch
baking pan. Mix together the flour, sugar, melted butter or margarine,
baking powder, salt, vanilla and milk. Pour this mixture evenly over the
sliced peaches. In a measuring cup, mix together the sugar and water and
pour this mixture over the batter. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until golden
brown. Serve warm with a scoop of ice cream.
NOTES : (*) Depending on the size of the peaches you may need more or less.
You want the layer of peaches to be thick. I have never used canned
peaches with this recipe, so I cannot tell you how well it will work. I
halve this recipe for our family of 4.
