INGREDIENTS

1/2 lb White sandwich bread, very
thin slices
1/4 c Unsalted butter, room
temperature

INSTRUCTIONS

Heat oven to 350 degrees.  Using a butter knife or offset spatula,
spread bread with butter.  Using a 1 3/4-inch heart-shaped cookie
cutter, cut out four hearts  per slice. Remove excess, and save for
bread crumbs. Bake hearts  until golden brown, 13 to 15 minutes.  Makes
