6 T Olive oil
3 T Balsamic vinegar or red wine
vinegar
1 1/2 t Honey
3/4 t Ground cumin
3/4 t Chili powder
1 Head butter lettuce, torn
into bite-size
pieces
1 Watercress bunch, stems
trimmed
1 Head radicchio, torn into
bite-size
pieces
1/2 Red onion, thinly sliced
2 Oranges, peeled sliced
crosswise into
rounds

INSTRUCTIONS

Whisk first 5 ingredients in small bowl to blend. Season with salt and
pepper.  Place remaining ingredients in large bowl. Toss salad with
enough  dressing to season to taste.  Serves 4.  Bon Appetit April 1993
