We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

Perhaps it takes a purer faith to praise God for unrealized blessings than for those we once enjoyed or those we enjoy now.

INGREDIENTS

1 lb Bing cherries or other fresh
Or frozen fruit
1 lb Granulated sugar
1 l Vodka, rum or brandy (higher
Proof — the better)

INSTRUCTIONS

Wash and stem the cherries. Place them in a clean glass container. Pour
the pound of sugar over the cherries. DO NOT STIR OR SHAKE.
Pour the liquor over the sugar and cherries. Do not stir. Cover with a
lid. Put the jar on a cool dark place and let it stand three months.
Strain into two 1-quart bottles. This produces a very sweet liquor. I use
less sugar, but if sweet is what you want, this is it. You can use oranges,
peaches apricots, plums, etc. Do not peel the fruit first.
